How are we to explain Jacinda Ardern doing the right thing after the Christchurch massacre of Muslims not many months ago & now fawning all over Modi whilst he is committing genocide in Kashmir? That’s the way capitalism rolls. If we did some investigation, we would find all sorts of unsavory economic, commercial, military connections between New Zealand & India. Ardern is not going to jeopardize them over the issue of genocide. Just so she knows, what she did after Christchurch in no way mitigates her monstrous groveling over Modi now whilst Kashmiris suffer.

Many of us came to admire & respect Khalsa Aid, a Sikh humanitarian aid group, when they set up food stations for Rohingya refugees at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh in 2017. There are a lot of photos of them cooking & serving food. Now we hear that Khalsa Aid provided an ambulance to the family of Aashiq Hussain, a Kashmiri killed in a road accident in India, so they could transport him home for burial. In the midst of all this misery, they are a source of pride in our humanity.

This is a very powerful photo of two young Kashmiri women walking past Indian soldiers. They’re most probably holding their veils over their face, not because the soldiers stink, but because women get sexually harassed in the most vulgar & debased ways by the soldiers. Many have been sexually assaulted & some raped & murdered. That’s the character of military occupation. Occupation is a women’s rights issue.

Demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all Indian troops in Kashmir. Out now!

Please don’t take offense if you have messaged me & I have not responded. Facebook’s message system makes it quite difficult & time-consuming so messages often get lost. If I have not responded to your message, it’s not because I am ignoring you or think you unworthy of response or because I am a slug but that your message got lost in the shuffle. You can always comment, as some do, on any post asking me to check your message. I love chatting with my friends & I rely on the information you send me.

A Kashmiri friend reports that a young guy named Aashiq Hussain was killed in a road accident in Chandigarh, India but no one is able to inform his parents in Kashmir because of the telecommunication blockade.

May the young man Rest In Peace. May the Modi gang rot in hell.

UPDATE: Aashiq’s family has now been informed of his death & have reached Chandigarh to take their son home for burial.

This photo is one of my Facebook friends who was shot with pellets several weeks ago while visiting his family in Kashmir. Consider the state of healthcare under India’s siege & blockade so that those now pummeled with lead pellets are unable to get treated at hospital or are fearful of going for treatment lest they be arrested as ‘miscreants’ or stone pelters. Many victims are working class kids whose pellet injuries require specialized medical care & are unable to afford it.

Demand India immediately stop the use of pellet guns in Kashmir.

On the same day the Gates Foundation gave Modi its worthless award–one genocidaire to another–for building public toilets, Indian media reported that two upper caste men beat two little Dalit boys to death for pooping on the road because the family did not have a toilet at home. Ten-year-old Avinash Balmiki & his brother 12-year-old Roshani Balmiki died on the spot.

Just so we’re clear, India is investing billions in the US & elsewhere, offering to rebuild Syria for Assad, involved in the Afghanistan War, occupying Kashmir with one-million troops, trying to colonize the moon, but it doesn’t have enough money to build a modern sanitation system in India. Indian capitalism leads the way in the barbaric phase of capitalism.

May the little boys Rest In Peace. Modi can put the award where the sun don’t shine.
