Does anyone else question whether the complete silence of most governments about Modi’s siege & blockade of Kashmir is not just collusion but concern that his imposition of fascist rule might be a massive blunder? That it was done too fast, too violently, too recklessly so that it jeopardizes their more measured approach to destroying human, democratic, & civil rights, including in the US & Europe? Not just jeopardizes but casts the Muslim-hating ‘war on terror’ ideology in a new light as the ideology of fascism?

The global expansion of concentration camps for Muslims & refugees is confronted by the power of the growing Kashmiri solidarity movement. If we do our political work right, including #BoycottIndia, we can deal a forceful blow to the Islamophobic ‘war on terror’ ideology. It must be said in that regard, that the prominent role of Kashmiri women against the blockade will play no small part in destroying the rancid justification for Islamophobia about saving them from Islam & terrorism through war, occupation, genocide.

Photos are protests in Srinagar on August 11th & August 16th, 2019.

India is building concentration camps for Muslims & undocumented immigrants. Rohingya refugees are jailed in squalid conditions & without due process in several countries where they tried to find asylum. China has millions of Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps. The US has them all over the country for refugees, including thousands of small children. The Philippines has thousands of displaced workers in subhuman prisons for drug addiction.

‘First they came for the Muslims & refugees & I did not speak out…’

India is threatening to cancel the passports of Kashmiris working or studying outside Kashmir for Facebook posts critical of the siege & blockade. Supreme Court lawyer Kamini Jaiswal said, “Your question is ‘can they do this?’ Yes, they can do it. They have kept people in jail without grounds. The present dispensation can do anything. They don’t care about the rule of law.” How long before he ends up in jail?

A working class Kashmiri mother whose son was taken in a night raid describes poignantly what that means to the entire family. The young man is probably being tortured & may not ever be returned to his family.

The #BUTCHER can't feel the pain of this #Kashmiri_mother. He has given his forces a free hand to punish Kashmiri people for demanding the right of delf-determination ✍👇

Confusionists who buy the Islamophobic ‘war on terror’ crap claim Russia is fighting terrorism in Syria but then some denounce India’s so-called fight against terrorism in Kashmir which Russia endorses. Deranged or corrupt people can live with such contradictions. The rest of us demand explanations. It’s a tough lesson for some to learn in politics, but when it comes to bombing or shooting civilians, you can’t play both sides of the street.

Modi & Putin are meeting in Vladivostok, a port city in eastern Russia near the borders with China & North Korea. Putin said he supports India’s siege & blockade of Kashmir as part of the fight against terrorism. He also said Russia has been supplying the most modern weapon systems to India to do that. Modi said he’s known Putin since he was chief minister of Gujarat (where he orchestrated a pogrom against Muslims, though he didn’t mention that) & “India’s ties with Russia have strengthened over the years.” Then he announced a one-billion US dollars line of credit to Russia for development of Russia’s Far East region. See how diplomacy works?

“Conscientious journalists of the Ravish Kumar kind, who have a deep respect for the Indian State and are concerned about Hindu fascists taking over, argue that Kashmir is a “non-issue” the government uses to distract attention from “real issues” to do with the basic needs of people. They are totally wrong. Kashmir is the core issue, which brings together every possible aspect of conflict between people and the State. Without addressing their relationship with Kashmiri people and with the nation-state occupying Kashmir, the oppressed people of India are incapable of doing anything worthwhile for themselves in the face of hostile governments such as the BJP-led one.”
