Kashmir pellet victim (Kashmir Conflict) Sept 18 2018

This is an 11-year-old Kashmiri boy named Nasir Qazi who died from pellet gun injuries on September 17, 2016 during the uprising against the assassination of B. Wani, the man whose funeral prayers were attended by 600,000 Kashmiris but whose name or photo cannot be posted on FB without a suspension. Deaths & injuries are such a constant in Kashmir & Palestine, as well as in the several war & genocide zones, that it is impossible to honor them all individually or imagine the grief their families & friends endure. We should take a moment to honor them all for their contributions to the cause of human freedom. They were the very best of humanity inspiring & emboldening young & old alike. May they Rest In Peace as we carry on their work.

Night protest in Benesh, northern countryside of Idlib (Idlib Plus) Sept 17 2018
This is an evening protest in Benesh in the countryside of Idlib province against Syrian, Russian, & Iranian ground & air bombardment. These massive protests show fearless resistance to the Assad dictatorship despite carpet bombing & despite monumental betrayal by the corrupted antiwar movement. They resonate with the Arab Spring protests across Syria which began in 2011 & with the Yemeni Arab Spring uprising where millions continue to protest despite three & one-half years of US & UK-backed Saudi coalition bombing.

Stop the bombing. Demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all foreign military forces from Syria.

Idlib health workers protest (3) Sept 17 2018

Medical staff are protesting outside hospitals in Idlib, Syria demanding protection from Syrian, Russian, & Iranian ground & air forces. Meanwhile the antiwar movement is silent as a clam in support for bombing civilians to protect a dictator’s national sovereignty & Assad propagandists are identifying these doctors & nurses with terrorism & still harping against the White Helmet rescue workers.

Stop the bombing. Demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all foreign military forces from Syria.

Thug Israeli settler killed Sept 17 2018
The local McAllen, Texas newspaper never reports about the Palestinian struggle against Israeli apartheid. Nary a peep about the 15,000 Palestinian structures destroyed in the West Bank in the past 25 years, including entire villages. No mention of the thousands, including small children, in Israeli military prisons or the hundreds killed & thousands injured by Israeli occupation forces & aggressive Zionist settlers. Nary a peep about the 11 year blockade of Gaza which has meant 72% food insecurity, 77% need for humanitarian aid, 70% electricity deficient, 40% unemployment. Not a word about the 179 unarmed protesters killed by Israeli snipers at the Great Return March, the over 19,000 injured, the 44,000 disabled by Israeli snipers including leg amputations from explosive bullets. Not a peep about the three several weeks carpet bombing sieges over Gaza in the past ten years. Staggering statistics & the metrics of genocide. But today, the McAllen Monitor had an article about the fatal stabbing of this belligerent, militarist American Zionist settler on a mission to expropriate Palestinian lands. Is his life more important than the thousands of Palestinians living under apartheid & genocidal conditions? A letter of protest to the editor is forthcoming.

Long live Palestinian Intifada. End the occupation. Self-determination for Palestine.

Postscript: The McAllen Monitor did not publish my letter objecting to their reporting which ignored the deaths of thousands of Palestinians.

UN officials notified Syria, Russia, Turkey, & the US of the GPS coordinates for 235 schools, hospitals, & other civilian sites in the Syrian province of Idlib. They did that despite the long history of all those militaries targeting schools, hospitals, mosques, orphanages, & other civilian sites. The UN said they were notifying to remove all doubt “that a hospital is a hospital.” Do they think air forces equipped with the most sophisticated electronic technology in the world mistake hospitals for military installations, that the systematic bombing of civilians is just a blunder & not intentional?

The UN said, “We would like to see civilians not targeted, hospitals not bombed, people not displaced.” Good for them. But they know as well as we do that they just handed the counterrevolution in Syria a roadmap to the final solution.

Idlib Sept 17 2018

Some of the 1.5 million protesters against the Assad regime & against ground & aerial bombardment by Syria, Russia, & Iran: this placard also addresses the US role in the counterrevolution against the Syrian Arab Spring uprising which is present in the deployment of Turkish troops to Idlib. The US may not be bombing Idlib but it has dropped thousands of bombs every year in Syria since 2014. It continues to carpet bomb Afghanistan (including the Mother of all Bombs in 2017), Iraq, Yemen, Libya, & it bankrolls Israeli bombing of Gaza. Those who demand the US do humanitarian bombing in Syria have not an iota of human solidarity with those millions who have died at the hands of the US Pentagon.

Stop the bombing of Idlib. Demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all foreign military forces from Syria.

This video is of a woman activist at one of the anti-Assad protests in Idlib, Syria, numbering 1.5 million civilians (out of 3 million). It is circulating on social media along with photos showing the scope of protest & the spirit of resistance in Idlib even while under ground & aerial bombardment by Syria, Russia, & Iran. Assadist propagandists have responded to this documentation of the Syrian Arab Spring uprising in the most shameful & detestable way: by vilifying this woman, even though they have no idea who she is; by claiming these protesters are all associated with terrorist militias; by talking about the scale of female child marriage in Idlib; & by talking about women’s rights under “Islamist” rule. Misogyny is the bedrock of Islamophobia & Assadism.

How was it the Assad dictatorship got so many women to play leading roles in its stable of propagandists? First, by appealing to fascist, Islamophobic, & anti-Semitic women (represented best by Eva Bartlett & Vanessa Beeley) & second by appealing to social climbers (best represented by Rania Khalek) who will say anything to foster their own careers. The same is also true for men, of course, but the Syrian counterrevolution turned out to be a gold mine for rightwing & unprincipled women because misogyny toward Muslim women is in the foundations of Islamophobia. It also establishes their place as a footnote in history’s hall of shame since their so-called journalism never rises above the level of horse manure.

This is an exposé of how India uses undercover operatives to identify the Kashmiri freedom struggle with ISIS. It is a vilification rooted in Islamophobia, the primary justification for war, occupation, & genocide of our times. This has led to erstwhile progressives supporting the counterrevolution in Syria, opposing the Kashmiri freedom struggle, supporting the Rohingya genocide & Duterte’s war against Filipino Muslims, & ignoring the growing persecution of Muslims around the world, including the Uyghurs in China.

Thank you to Kashmiri activists for taking this detestable slander on with such cogency.
