Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, so admired & promoted by Assadists & fascists, did not call Trump “the prostitute of Saudi Arabia” because she has a principled opposition to the war in Yemen but because she is a rabid, hateful Islamophobe who identifies all Muslims with the oppressive politics of the Saudi ruling family. If she had paid attention to the Yemeni Arab Spring, she would have seen it was led by thousands of women wearing niqab & this would have roused her hatred for Yemenis, not her opposition to bombing them. At heart, she has no principles & no genuine opposition to war. That’s the nature of an opportunist, making her the perfect candidate for Assadists & fascists.

Vida Movahed is a 31-year-old Iranian activist who initiated anti-compulsory hijab protests (called The Girls of Revolution Street protests) in February last year when she removed her headscarf & brandished it on a stick. For doing so, she was recently sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “encouraging corruption & prostitution to the public.” Human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh has been sentenced to 38 years & 148 lashes for advocating the right of women not to wear the hijab.
