The Indian Medical Association sent this letter to The Lancet, one of the oldest & most prestigious British medical journals, which published an editorial on August 17th titled “Fear & uncertainty around Kashmir’s future.” The Modi regime is frantically attempting to chase & destroy all criticism of its colonial savagery, just as it hunts down stone pelters, militants, journalists, & unarmed protesters in Kashmir. It’s battalions of nationalist supporters spewing rape fantasies & deranged threats do not help the Modi gang make their case but expose the fascistic politics propelling them. Rather than be silenced, we must increase our criticisms & denounce these militarist actions from the rooftops. The future of freedom in Kashmir is at stake.
