After a device was thrown at one of the illegal, if not also sacrilegious, Israeli police posts within the Al Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem, police forcibly emptied the mosque of all worshipers in an act of collective punishment. Palestinian worshipers gathered at the entrances of the compound to pray & demand that the mosque be reopened. As Thamina Faiz put it, this is “when prayer is resistance too.”
