The eulogies written for General Qassem Suleimani read more like legal briefs to indict him for war crimes. The Assadist & Stalinist cult that usurped the international antiwar movement are treating him like an anti-imperialist martyr rather than the terrorist mastermind that he was. They got off their political lard-asses to protest his assassination but not US bombing of Iraq & Syria & whilst still supporting Syrian & Russian bombing & Iranian & Hezbollah terrorism against civilians.
All would be lost were it not for continuing political resistance in Syria & Iraq, for Kashmiri & Palestinian resistance, & for the massive protests against Indian fascism. The axis of resistance against the emerging forces of fascism will probably come from those activists whilst the US & European ‘antiwar’ cult is sucking up to dictatorships.
When Trump threatens to bomb 52 Iranian cultural sites, he’s talking about mosques of magnificent beauty that are hundreds of years old. But of course, as we know from Palestine, Kashmir, & the Uyghur & Rohingya genocides, targeting religious heritage is the very heart of genocide.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that Assad forces near Damascus arrested 38 Palestinian schoolchildren who had been displaced from the Yarmouk refugee camp for defacing & tearing up a photo of Bashar Al-Assad. Twenty of the kids were taken from school & 18 were picked up in raids on their homes. The regime accuses the children of pledging allegiance to ISIS & refuses to release them from custody.
