Apparently some dispute any political nexus between the occupation of Kashmir & legalizing persecution of Muslims in India. Others consider Indian fascism the link & see the broader connections to genocide & the colonial ‘war on terror’ in Syria, Burma, China, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, & Palestine. Not to mention that ‘what happens in India will not stay in India’ but will impact the rise of the extreme rightwing all over the world. In the barbaric phase of capitalism & its relentless colonialism, everything is connected.

‘Liberation’ by MC Kash, the troubadour of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination:
“Why do killings of Muslims outside Kashmir evoke more broad-based sympathy than far worse that has always been the lot of the Kashmiri Muslim under Indian rule? The answer lies in the success of ‘war on terror’ propaganda under pre-Modi ‘secular’ India, which sold to the Indian masses the maliciously fraudulent story that a so-called secular, democratic republic has been fighting against Islamic fundamentalist secessionism sponsored by Pakistan in Kashmir. Fascism will not be defeated so long as the ideology of ‘war on terror’ has not being vanquished — i.e. so long as people deny solidarity and support to other peoples, and encourage their colonial tormentors, by condemning their freedom fighters as terrorists.
#FreeKashmir to #SmashFascism. There is no other way.”

“Everyone lecturing protesters on non-violence, please spare a few words for UP Police that’s killing Muslim protesters at will.”

All the ‘Merry Christmas’ celebrations in a time of genocide seem so banal, at least in their commercial presentation. But there is that ‘peace on Earth, good will to men, women, & children’ spirit. I wish all my friends strength & commitment in the struggle to make that spirit the reality for all regardless of our religious faiths, gender, & ethnicity.
“No Country for Women
This is no country for young women and others
Where the old men counsel each other how better
To sell the vernal dreams teeming in thousands
Of poverty-stricken bosoms;
This is no country for young women and others
Where the carpenter happily carries a crucifix
To hang my brother in his own lawn
While Mary watches blood dripping down
The face of Jesus;
This is no country for young women and others
Where a pack of people tell each other that:
I was not born here,
I never lived here
Or I had fled persecution
And sought refuge here
This is no country for young women and others:
Where my ancestors dreamt of living one day
With dignity and walking the roads
Like their own.
Judas! My brother, I don’t hate you
Though you desert me every day
You pretend to be my friend!
We were born at the same place
Though dyed in different colours!
Judas! My brother don’t desert me
While I am taken to the cross
I will write on my bosom with blood:
I was born here before God ordered
The Chaos to settle down, I was here when
The first rains washed away the dirt of earth!
