“Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, members of all marginalised communities & anti-caste allies of India — condemn the support shown by certain Dalit–Bahujan political party leaders to the Bharatiya Janata Party government’s decision of diluting Article 370 of Constitution of India through fraudulent means. Our heart goes out to the people of Kashmir.”

Palestine or Kashmir?

It is of considerable interest & importance that a conference in Seoul, South Korea from August 23rd to 24th titled International Conference on Protection of Rohingya Survivors & Accountability for Genocide with the theme “Rape as a Weapon of Wars & Genocides, Past & Present in the Region” is discussing the character of the boycott against Burma which was launched several months ago. The conference was sponsored by the Korean Civil Society in Solidarity with the Rohingya (KCSSR), Free Rohingya Coalition, FORSEA.co, EuroBurma Office & Human Rights Action Center. You can watch an excellent discussion going on right now. One Korean participant just raised the issue of Kashmir & a boycott against India.
Apparently, Hindutva nationalist veterinarians & doctors in the US & India do not care that under the Geneva Conventions even prisoners of war “must at all times be humanely treated.” They shouldn’t disgrace themselves further with protest letters to The Lancet but should take this directly to the International Criminal Court or UN for a repeal of the Geneva Conventions since no one complies with them anyway.

Not even six-months ago there wasn’t very much media coverage of Kashmir, including during the 2016 massive uprising & military crackdown. Now it’s hard to keep up with all the coverage. Like the Wall Street Journal reporter said, Modi has internationalized Kashmir.
