Indian nationalist Jooth Pal Malik, who I’ve since blocked, threatened “I will tell police about you.” Although the Minneapolis police did not take kindly to my article on the war against Black youth under the guise of the ‘war on drugs’, the McAllen police aren’t likely to be interested & the FBI already has a 53-year dossier on my activities, not a one of which has ever been illegal or could get me arrested. Poor guy probably thinks we all live under BJP fascism or that Trump has overturned the Bill of Rights in the US.
Some may think this schmaltzy but I love it because it captures the spirit of Kashmiris as we have come to know them, especially that they always stand with the oppressed.

Journalist of sorts but mostly Assad apologist Peter Hitchens tweeted that marijuana use was behind the Dayton & other mass shooters. Not white nationalism, racism, or misogyny but smoking joints. He’s been Tariq Ali’s go-to authority for denying Assad’s use of chemical weapons in Syria. He must have been dropped on his head as often as his brother Christopher who supported the Iraq War.
The political affinities between the Kashmiri & Palestinian struggles are inescapable & profound & demand a coordinated, united movement to oppose. That was near impossible with a news blackout about the Kashmiri struggle. But the emerging #StandWithKashmir movement is changing all that overnight & the comparisons are being made right & left by political commentators. The Kashmiris knew this a long time ago & frequently discussed it, including calling their youth contingents the Kashmiri Intifada in respect for Palestinian Intifada.
