At the time I should have been going into full campaign mode as an independent socialist candidate for US president, India imposed the lockdown on Kashmir. (I would not be so comical as to suggest an association between the two.) Maintaining campaign footing became very difficult & quite frankly didn’t seem important when there was so much to report about the lockdown & the emergent solidarity movement. I tend to be hard-nosed rather than delusional so had no hopes of getting elected but wanted to use the campaign to express uncompromising support for the oppressed & to help build their political power.
Okay, so we’re here in February 2020 & my campaign is now dragging its ass. I appreciate so much that many are still liking up my campaign wall even without my maintaining it. Thank you for that.
