Indian officials presiding over the Kashmiri lockdown are discussing moving collaborators Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, & Mehbooba Mufti to Jammu or Delhi because of inadequate heating in their posh suites during the cold winter months. No one could object to that even if they are criminally responsible for the arrests, torture, disappearances, rapes, executions, pellet gun injuries of tens of thousands of Kashmiris. The oppressed don’t subject even criminals of such magnitude to torture or even the discomforts of inadequate heating. But our question is, ‘why just them’? What about the estimated 20,000 to 30,000 other Kashmiri political prisoners in hell hole Indian prisons? What conditions are they subjected to? What about the estimated 13,000 kids who’ve been jailed, most likely mixed with the adult criminal population who may include rabid nationalists or rapists? What about the abducted Kashmiri kids who’ve been lost in the Indian prison system? Have they been located or returned to their families?
Demand the immediate release of all Kashmiri political prisoners. Demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all Indian troops from Kashmir.
