This is an open letter from Stand With Kashmir appealing to guest speakers at the Gates Foundation award ceremony for Modi asking them to withdraw. It will surprise many, not all, that among the scheduled speakers is New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern. The deputy Secretary General of the UN, & the Executive Director of UNICEF are also slated to speak in tribute to Modi.
That halo Ardern received for her conduct after the Christchurch massacre is being knocked for a loop, first by her state visit to China without making objection to the Uyghur genocide & now honoring Modi whilst he has Kashmir under lockdown, is disenfranchising two-million Muslims in the state of Assam, & is encouraging violence against Muslims & oppressed castes in India.
