The lowlife who posted a video titled “Never Go Full Retard” on my wall to insult me for supporting Kashmiris has been bounced for insulting Kashmiris & those with learning disabilities. So has the Zionist who wanted to rail against the high Palestinian birthrate. May they rot in peace. My wall is not a sewage disposal facility but a solidarity wall.

Mir Laieeq’s comment that “indians don’t love their ‘Jawans’. they use them as cannon fodder,” resonates with the glorification of soldiers in the US. They are paraded like heroes while sustaining a high rate of homelessness, incarceration, mental health issues, brain damage, addiction, domestic violence, suicide. The same is certainly true for Indian & Israeli troops. Antiwar activists do not demonize them since most of them are working class kids who didn’t see past the glorification of the military & the justifications for war to the racist realities of US wars. Black & Latino veterans have played a particularly strong role in antiwar mobilizations. The way to respond is not to feed the glorification scam but to demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of troops, including from Kashmir.

“Progressive except Kashmir… Will they whine that we’re targeting Hindus in America, like Progressives except Palestine do when they accuse us of Jew-hatred?”

–Ofer Neiman, Israeli anti-Zionist & Palestine solidarity activist

The endless speculations about Pulwama being an inside job go nowhere unless you’re doing a forensic investigation. But what they do is distract from the most important question which is to demand the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of Indian troops from Kashmir & to mobilize against the pogroms now being incited against Kashmiris.

Some may think it wrong for Americans to comment on the failures of Indian progressives but believe me, American activists have plenty of political experience in the failures of the antiwar movement & its inability to mobilize against the many US wars.

“contrary to the overwhelming shrill voices of hypernationalism, the fact is evident like sunlight: indians don’t love their ‘Jawans’. they use them as cannon fodder when alive and as factories of hatred once they are dead. Indeed, there is no love possible in a nation built upon sheer prejudice, discrimination and visceral hatred of the other.”
