A 6-month-old infant was seriously injured & 25 others, including children & elderly, were injured by Israeli bombing of Gaza today. There isn’t yet a final report on fatalities but one grief-stricken man whose son was killed by an airstrike cried over his son’s body “Please God, let me kiss him one more time.”

Shove that US-brokered peace process. Protest in solidarity with Palestinians & build BDS.

Trump’s Jerusalem move is not just symbolic; nor does it undermine a US-brokered peace process which does not exist

Moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem & declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel is not just a symbolic & inflammatory gesture to support Israel. Nor does it catastrophically undermine the US-brokered peace process between Israel & the Palestinians. There is no such peace process but only an ongoing diplomatic dog & pony show to legitimize Israeli colonialism, settlements, ethnic cleansing. The US cannot talk about brokering a peace process while it bankrolls Israeli militarism to occupy the West Bank, East Jerusalem, & repeatedly carpet bomb Gaza.

The US negotiated the Camp David Accords to neutralize Egypt’s support for Palestinians in return for arming the Sadat regime against the Egyptian people. The US negotiated the Oslo Accords as a legal framework to legitimize colonialism & lay out the terms of Palestinian surrender. It sounds like sarcasm & mockery that Trump put Jared Kushner in charge of the peace process when his family bankrolls illegal settlements in the West Bank but it is fully in accord with US policy for Israel & the Palestinians. It is unlikely that Trump was acting on his own since Israel functions as a military fortress for the US against democracy in the Middle East.

Many commentators claim the Trump declaration was driven by lowbrow attempts to appeal to his political base of rightwing Christian evangelicals who support Israel, American Zionists, & Sheldon Adelson, the Zionist who donated $25 million to the Trump campaign. The move may coincidentally be to Trump’s advantage but it is most likely that US policymakers are using Trump’s venality & corruption to escalate the appropriation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, & Gaza by Israel using the occupation & Oslo Accords.

Palestinians are not protesting a symbolic gesture but a deadly-serious escalation of Israeli colonialism in collaboration with the US. Our response to this maneuver must be to mobilize across the globe demanding the US, Europe, & Middle East regimes cease collaboration with Israel & end the funding of occupation & colonialism.

Palestinian version of the Black community’s “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

These are the Palestinians being accused of feverish, irrational violence when they rise up to protest occupation, the expropriation of lands & razing of whole villages to make room for illegal settlements, kidnapping & constant violence against youth, massive incarceration including of kids, attempts to expropriate & destroy Al Aqsa mosque compound in East Jerusalem.

What is irrational is the Zionist belief that if they maximize violence & repression of Palestinians, they will destroy Intifada.

Long live Palestinian Intifada. Build BDS.

Palestinian Intifada is ageless

Palestinian Intifada is ageless. So is the grieving. Dec 8 2017

This is the older man threatened by an assault rifle while protesting near Al Aqsa mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem. Intifada is ageless. But then so is the grieving from fighting one’s whole life for freedom from colonialism, apartheid, ethnic cleansing.

Long live Palestinian Intifada.

Another picture worth a thousand lies:

The media caption said “Israeli forces were called in to disperse Palestinian protestors outside Damascus Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City this morning amid rising tensions following Trump’s announcement.” If they want to tell the truth, the whole truth, & nothing but the truth, media would report that this Israeli soldier is threatening an elderly unarmed Palestinian with an assault rifle outside the Al Aqsa mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem. The whole truth would be that Israeli occupying soldiers make it almost impossible for Palestinians to worship at the mosque but frequently escort rabid Zionist nationalists through the compound.

Long live Palestinian Intifada.

The narrative of Palestinian violence against reality of Israeli ethnic cleansing

Palestinian boy & 20 IOF soldiers in Hebron (Wissam Hashiamoun) Dec 8 2017

Over 20 Israeli troops against a blindfolded Palestinian boy in Hebron in the occupied West Bank (yesterday).:

And to think the media narrative is all about Palestinian violence & the threat of another Intifada. Palestinians have the right to resist colonialism, apartheid, ethnic cleansing by any means necessary.

There are protests all over the world standing with Palestinians. Let Intifada go international against the latest US provocation.

Ex-priest John Feit found guilty of 1960 murder of Irene Garza despite 57 years of Catholic church attempts to protect him

The remorseless 85-year-old ex-priest John Feit was found guilty of the murder of Irene Garza in 1960. It was mostly a circumstantial case because a priest from Sacred Heart church had destroyed the physical evidence. Feeling guilt about the complicity, that priest came forward in 2004 but has since died. Twenty-five people gave testimony for the prosecution but the most important was an ex-monk who also came forward in 2004 because Feit confessed to him while being hidden by the diocese. Prosecutors presented evidence that political & church officials obstructed prosecution to protect the church.

Feit was eventually moved from hiding out in a Missouri monastery to a church treatment center for priest sex offenders in New Mexico. They eventually made him the supervisor clearing pervert priests for reassignment to a parish. One of the priests he cleared was Boston child molester James Porter who assaulted over 100 kids before he was prosecuted & sent to prison. After Feit left the priesthood in 1972, the church, heedless of the dangers, hired him to administer a charity where he trained & recruited volunteers.

Today jurors are deliberating over Feit’s sentence. He has never shown any remorse but is in fact extremely insolent. Life in prison for an 85-year-old psychopath is hardly sufficient for justice.
