Earth to Hands Off Syria Coalition:

“Do Afghan people under massive US bombs deserve antiwar rallies or are those reserved for the oppressed & marginalized airbase in Syria?”

Trump just spoke with great admiration about the MOAB bombing in Afghanistan. Will all those who ridiculed & objected to protests against him now back off their reactionary baloney & stand with us?

The US dropped MOAB, “the mother of all bombs” in Afghanistan. Russia uses the thermobaric FOAB, “the father of all bombs” in Syria. Although 6,000 pounds lighter than MOAB, the FOAB is four times more powerful & deadly.

The comparison is not to diminish the criminality of the US in Afghanistan but to highlight the importance of demanding the immediate, unconditional withdrawal of all foreign military forces from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, & elsewhere.

The historic imperative grows more urgent: rebuild the international antiwar movement, even if it has to be rebuilt one person, one placard at a time.

There is no way in hell I’ll allow comments on my wall hating on Jews, Muslims, or anyone else. Go to town on politicians but even then don’t go nuts with the epithets.

The US has dropped a MOAB (Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb) on the border with Pakistan in Nangahar Province, Afghanistan.

The MOAB, the most powerful non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal, is called the “mother of all bombs.” It weighs 21,600 pounds.

It was allegedly used to take out an ISIS tunnel complex. Military experts on media claim civilian damage would be minimal. They can stick their despicable lies where the sun don’t shine. According to a defense reporter, the MOAB is “designed to hit large areas of enemy territory to achieve a terrifying psychological impact.”

Emergency antiwar rallies are the order of the day.

The doctor dragged off United Airlines got himself a slick personal injury lawyer that will eat that airline alive & more power to him.

These little Rohingya kids were displaced by ethnic cleansing in Arakan state & forced into the Dar Paing concentration camp near Sittwe. The photo was taken in June 2014.

Take a look at the anger, anxiety, bewilderment on the faces of these little guys who are only six or seven years old. Their faces are as damning of ethnic cleansing in Myanmar as damnations get. These are kids & their birthright is the full scope of human happiness, not living in a concentration camp afraid for their lives.

Loath as I am to post part two of this interview with the deranged Rania Khalek & the smarmy social climber Ben Norton, it serves as an indictment of their political defense of Assad’s regime. One has to hear their stinking cynicism & casual even giggling contempt for human lives in Syria to fully grasp the depths of their corruption, ignorance, dishonesty, & above all their banality. Khalek called Khan Sheikhoun “an insignificant village” but it was home to men, women, & children mercilessly gassed to death.

Khalek & Norton claim the gassing of Khan Sheikhoun was staged, seconding paid propagandists Beeley, Bartlett, & Anderson, & Assad himself who called it “a 100% fabrication.” Assad said “We don’t know whether those dead children were killed in Khan Sheikhoun. Were they dead at all?”

Khalek & Norton impugn the photos of the grieving man holding his infant twins before burying them with 23 other members of his family. They impugn the White Helmets & other civilian rescue workers rushing to help sarin victims without Hazcom equipment in a war zone where they also lack food, medicines, medical supplies. The White Helmets rushed to help anguished children heedless of their own safety & Khalek & Norton think that is evidence of staging.

Khalek & Norton refer to themselves as progressives, even socialists. That they may be. But regrettably of the national socialist or deranged kind.

Those who live in the area of Islamabad, Pakistan have a chance to stand against bombing of civilians in Syria (regardless whose bombers are involved) & protest Syrian gassing at Khan Sheikhoun:

In her recent BBC interview, Aung San Suu Kyi said being under house arrest in her mansion in an exclusive area attended by maids was “not like being in jail.” Of course not. That’s why if you accept all the human rights hype around her, you’re letting yourself be played by the Burmese military junta in league with multinational corporations who want in on the Myanmar market without being criticized for collusion with ethnic cleansing.

Being under house arrest in your exclusive mansion is also not like living in the concentration camps where about 150,000 Rohingya live under apartheid conditions after their homes & fields were torched & they had no place to go. Suu Kyi calls it a counter-insurgency operation to find the killers of nine border guards last October but why is it directed against the Rohingya when the regime has no idea who conducted the assaults? And why has it now gone on with varying degrees of intensity for several decades?

This little Rohingya internal refugee girl in Arakan state is holding her baby brother in one of the concentration camps. But Suu Kyi claims there is no persecution, there are no apartheid conditions. Muslims are hostile she claims & are killing each other. Shades of Assadism. Shades of Adoph Hitler too.

Full human & democratic rights to Rohingya in Arakan state. Stop the damn lying Suu Kyi. You aren’t fooling anyone.
